“It’s the end of the year now, and some of your precious exec are finally done with university. This is your chance to join the fast-paced environment of UTAMA-exec-dom and become involved in running the club.
Also, office access.
The following positions are open:
- President (Runs the club, does a little bit of everything.)
- Secretary (Manages the manga library, records minutes of exec meetings)
- Treasurer (Manages club funds)
- Events Coordinator (Organizes social events outside of meetings.)
- Volunteer Coordinator (Gathers help for major events such as Clubs Day and the Gaming Event.)

There is no limit to the number of candidates. You may apply for more than one position. If you do so, you will have to come up with separate campaigns for each position you run for.
To apply for a position, candidates must do the following:
- Write up a blurb – 300 words why you think you’re the best person for the job. Your blurb will be placed on the forums and sent in an email composed of all the running candidates.
- Send an email with your name + the positions(s) you’re running for + your blurb to utama@utoronto.ca. The deadline is 11:59PM on SUNDAY, MARCH 21ST. PMs will not be accepted.
- Give a 1 min speech during the final meeting (Tues, 23rd March). This will be recorded and posted on YouTube for the voting period.
If you’ve got the spirit and knack for what it takes to make 2009/2010 UTAMA like it’s never before, here’s your chance! Good luck to those that are running!”
Please also note that we will be having a referendum to update the very very out of date constitution. Major changes include but are not limited to new clauses that fully outline our current exec structure, and slightly more specific financial accountability clause.
Currently, the exact timing of the referendum has yet to determined; however, it will be announced when the draft is finalized.
